Vernon “Vern” C. Adamson passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, at his home in Juliaetta. He was born July 17, 1955, to Delores Andrews-Adamson and Charles Adamson. He was raised in Lewiston and Grangeville and graduated from Grangeville High School in 1974.
Vern worked for Wicks Forest Industry in Grangeville for many years before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He spent two years in South Korea and then continued his service in the Army National Guard. Vern also spent many years driving transit buses in Lewiston and Moscow until he retired in 2021.
Vern enjoyed spending time with his children, as well as being outdoors; especially when it involved water skiing, boating, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed playing pool.
Vern is survived by his daughters Tonya and Emerald Adamson; son Paul Adamson; brother Richard (Cecile “Peanuts”) Adamson; sister Machell Espy; brother Doug Snyder; along with four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Craig Adamson; and his companion Tammy Vigil.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at the Word of Life Church, 2502 16th Ave., Lewiston, with a covered-dish meal to follow.
