William “Bill” Henry Lindh, 80, of Elmer City, Washington, passed away peacefully on May, 7, 2026 with his bride of 59 years and family by his side.
Bill was born on April 4th, 1946 in Coulee Dam, Washington. He grew up in Ephrata, Washington, graduating from the local high school in 1964. After starting college, Bill chose to voluntarily join the Navy, proudly serving his country in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. After returning from his service for his country, Bill went on to graduate from Washington State University with a Forestry Management degree. He then spent the remainder of his life out in the woods providing for his family by working with many different landowners on the harvesting, protection and development of many forests throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Bill is survived by his beautiful bride and the love of his life, Linda. Married on June 17, 1967 in Ephrata, the two friends proceeded to have many grand adventures. For the early part of their lives, the two led their family on a nomadic adventure throughout the Pacific Northwest, never spending more than a year at any particular place until their kids began school full time. Once the kids were in school, Bill and Linda settled down, living for extended periods of time in Kittitas, Brewster, and ultimately Elmer City. While the location might have changed, Bill and Linda always provided a home where love could grow and everyone had the opportunity to work.
Bill is further survived by his and Linda’s children, Jason and Lanae Lindh, Selina and Mike Kelly, Jennifer Lindh, Forrest and Erin Lindh, and Nicole and Joseph Cleveland, 18 grandkids, 4 great grandkids, and his siblings Deborah and Bill Roberts, and John and Sue Lindh. Bill was proceeded in death by his parents Bill and Helma Lindh and his brother Allan Lindh.
Bill was a good and charitable person who loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Bill developed his relationship with his Savior through countless hours talking with Him while working in the woods. Later in life Bill found a congregation with which to share his love of the Lord. He was baptized in Lake Rosevelt to proclaim his love and faith in Jesus Christ.
Bill leaves behind a legacy of hard work, a love of nature, and the strength of character to pursue dreams that his family will carry forward. He held strong opinions and lived according to his own code developed over a life filled with setbacks and achievements.
Bill loved his wife as his best friend and led a life worth living.
Memorial will be held at Faith Community Church in Electric City on July 18th at 11:00 AM.
